Liverpool Plotting £100m Move for Star Striker to Join Wirtz in Transfer Overhaul

Liverpool are reportedly planning a significant summer move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

The Swedish forward had an outstanding season, cementing his place among the Premier League’s elite strikers. His performance was instrumental in Newcastle’s Champions League qualification and their League Cup victory.

According to Fichajes, new Liverpool manager Arne Slot has identified Isak as a key target. The 25-year-old scored 27 goals last season, ranking him among Europe’s most effective finishers.

Why Liverpool Want Isak
Former Reds striker Michael Owen has praised Isak as a “top class” player who could excel at any top-tier club. With Darwin Nunez managing just seven goals in all competitions last season, Liverpool are clearly in need of a more reliable attacking option.

Newcastle are eager to keep hold of Isak and are working on a new deal to secure his future. However, Liverpool are reportedly prepared to make a hefty offer of around €120 million (£100m) to lure him to Anfield.

While the Magpies are reluctant to let go of one of their key players, Liverpool’s global appeal and ambition to compete at the highest level might persuade Isak to consider the switch.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also close to sealing a high-profile deal for Florian Wirtz. Whether they can afford both marquee signings in the same window remains uncertain.
