After successfully bringing in Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool—despite him not officially being a free agent—Real Madrid are reportedly targeting another Reds star. Madrid paid a small fee to complete Alexander-Arnold’s signing ahead of his contract’s expiration, allowing them to register him in time for this summer’s Club World Cup.
Although the transfer was nearly finalized beforehand, the Spanish giants likely could’ve landed Alexander-Arnold for free had they waited.
