Fermín López Turns Down Bayern Munich Approach, Remains Committed to Barcelona – Reports

Barcelona midfielder Fermín López has reportedly declined interest from Bayern Munich, choosing instead to continue his journey with the Catalan giants.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the 22-year-old was recently approached by the German club, but he’s made it clear that his priority is to stay with Barcelona. A product of the famous La Masia academy, López has grown into a pivotal player for Barça’s midfield and has also shone on the international stage — playing a key role for Spain in both Euro 2024 and the Paris Olympics, where he scored six goals and helped secure major honors.

Despite interest from several top European clubs, López recently signed a new contract with Barcelona that runs until 2029. The deal includes a massive €500 million release clause, underlining the club’s commitment to keeping him.

Sources close to the player confirm that López has no plans to leave and is fully focused on continuing his development and success at Barcelona. He aims to contribute to the club’s goals in both domestic and international competitions.
