His concern is that their bond could lead to the formation of cliques within the squad, something that previously created division during turbulent times in the club’s past.
Ovalle referenced the “Club de Amigos” era, where tight-knit player groups were blamed for a fractured locker room. Laporta, aiming for a cohesive and professional team environment, is cautious about repeating history.
