Hungarian international Milos Kerkez, a national teammate of Dominik Szoboszlai, is reportedly close to joining Liverpool—potentially triggering a departure in the left-back department.
Kostas Tsimikas, who featured in 29 matches during the 2024/25 season, has been linked with a move away. However, Andy Robertson’s reported interest from Atletico Madrid has added further uncertainty to the situation.
Kerkez appears to align perfectly with Arne Slot’s vision for a Liverpool full-back: aggressive in transitions, quick to recover, and composed in buildup play.
Now entering his second season at the helm after a title-winning debut, Slot seems focused on acquiring technically gifted and energetic full-backs on both flanks.
Liverpool have already brought in Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Real Madrid. Kerkez would bring similar depth on the left side.
While the club has yet to make an official statement, consistent reports and confirmation from Kerkez’s family suggest that his move to Anfield is all but certain.
