Ter Stegen Set to Leave Barcelona for Galatasaray Amid Club Changes

Turkish media reports indicate that veteran goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen is likely to end his long stay at Barcelona and transfer this summer.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Ter Stegen has reached a personal deal with Galatasaray and is ready to join the Turkish club. Although the 33-year-old had previously shown a strong wish to stay at Camp Nou, recent developments—such as Juan Garcia’s arrival from Espanyol and Wojciech Szczęsny’s contract renewal—may have influenced his decision to leave.
The report states that Ter Stegen and Galatasaray have agreed on terms, with only the final deal between the clubs pending. Ter Stegen’s current contract with Barcelona runs until 2028.
Galatasaray is aiming to sign the goalkeeper on a free transfer by negotiating a contract termination with Barcelona, which might agree to the move to reduce their wage expenses.
This potential transfer comes shortly after Galatasaray showcased their financial power by signing German star Leroy Sané from Bayern Munich.
