They are also closing in on deals for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, costing the club around £140 million combined.
Speculation continues that Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace could replace the outgoing Jarell Quansah, further hinting at the scale of Liverpool’s squad revamp. Isak has long been admired by Liverpool, and The Telegraph reports that the club would be thrilled to sign the Swedish forward.
However, Newcastle are demanding more than £150 million for Isak—a figure that seems out of reach for Liverpool after their recent hefty investments. Currently, no talks—formal or informal—have occurred between the two clubs regarding the striker.
Isak, for his part, seems content at Newcastle. Last season, he stated there had been no discussions from his side or the club about a potential move, emphasizing his happiness at St James’ Park and his focus on contributing to the team’s success.
