In a major development during the summer transfer window, Liverpool FC has reportedly finalized a deal with Napoli for the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The agreement is said to be valued between €75 million and €80 million, and Osimhen is expected to undergo a medical examination soon. The 26-year-old has been in excellent form while on loan at Galatasaray, scoring 24 goals in 27 matches, which has drawn interest from other major clubs such as PSG and Manchester United.
Although Osimhen’s contract with Napoli includes a €130 million release clause and runs until 2027, Napoli has agreed to a lower transfer fee to ease the move.
Liverpool is aiming to strengthen its attacking lineup, with Osimhen viewed as a perfect fit due to his pace, strength, and clinical finishing—qualities the team lacked at times last season.
While an official club statement is still pending, the agreement signals Liverpool’s intent to refresh their squad, with Osimhen expected to play a key role in their offensive setup in the coming season
