Manchester United Close to Finalizing Major Striker Deal and Welcoming Young Left-Back Prospect

Manchester United are on the verge of signing Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo in a deal worth £110 million, according to talkSPORT journalist Anil Kandola. The 25-year-old Cameroon international has already completed his medical, with all terms agreed for a six-year contract. An official announcement is expected within the next week.

Despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Mbeumo has chosen to join United, and finalizing terms with both player and club is not expected to be an issue.

In addition, Paraguayan teenager Diego Leon will officially join the Red Devils on July 1, as per VSports Team. The left-back had previously agreed to a pre-contract in the winter but couldn’t complete the transfer due to being under 18, in line with post-Brexit Premier League regulations.

Leon, who has signed a five-year deal, has made 33 senior appearances for Porteno and has impressed with his defensive stats, averaging over four duels won, 2.7 recoveries, 2.6 clearances, and more than one successful tackle per game. While still raw, he’s seen as a high-potential prospect.

His arrival may impact the future of Harry Amass, who might go out on loan to gain experience, and could also lead to Tyrell Malacia’s permanent departure following his loan spell at PSV Eindhoven.
