**Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi** is interested in a move to **Liverpool** this summer — but he has made it clear that he will only join if he’s **guaranteed a regular starting role** in the team.
Guehi, who has been a consistent performer for Palace and is also part of the England national team, does not want to leave a club where he is already a guaranteed starter just to sit on the bench elsewhere. He wants to continue playing **week in, week out**, and unless Liverpool can promise him that, he’s unlikely to accept the move.

Liverpool are currently making changes in defense. Young defender **Jarell Quansah** is close to joining **Bayer Leverkusen** for around **£34 million**, which creates space in the squad. Guehi is seen as a strong option to fill that gap because of his solid performances in the Premier League.
