According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid have turned down Manchester United’s €15 million bid for goalkeeper Andriy Lunin. Despite recently renewing his contract, Lunin’s future at the club remains uncertain.
United are exploring options in case André Onana leaves for Monaco, and Lunin has emerged as a target. However, Madrid reportedly value the Ukrainian shot-stopper at €20–25 million and still consider him an important part of their future plans.
Although Lunin agreed to a contract extension, there is a verbal agreement to revisit his status after the Club World Cup. With Thibaut Courtois now fully fit, Real Madrid must determine how to handle the competition for the starting goalkeeper spot. Sources say Lunin is open to staying—if his role is clearly defined.
Further discussions between Real Madrid and Lunin are expected after the tournament wraps up.
Courtois has also reaffirmed his loyalty, saying: “Everyone knows I want to stay and, hopefully, retire at Real Madrid.”
