Wrexham are reportedly targeting a Liverpool player after the Premier League champions agreed to a £40 million transfer.
Backed by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Wrexham are preparing for their debut Championship campaign, having earned promotion for three seasons in a row.
The Welsh club has already signed striker Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle this summer and continues to explore further additions to strengthen the squad.
Recent reports indicate Wrexham are looking to bring in Liverpool’s 22-year-old full-back Owen Beck on a season-long loan. Beck impressed last season while on loan at Blackburn Rovers and is expected to spend another season away from Anfield to gain experience.
Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp had previously acknowledged Beck’s talent despite challenging loan spells at Famalicao and Bolton, highlighting his long-term potential.
Beck’s potential move to Wrexham appears linked to Liverpool’s imminent £40 million signing of Bournemouth’s left-back Milos Kerkez. The Hungarian international is expected to replace Andy Robertson, who has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.
Kerkez, 21, had a standout season in the Premier League, playing all 38 matches, scoring six goals, and providing two assists. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, he is set to undergo a medical in the UK and sign a five-year deal with Liverpool.
Liverpool have already been active this transfer window, securing Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, and are reportedly pursuing other players such as Marc Guehi, Hugo Ekitike, and Alexander Isak
