Ter Stegen’s situation at Barcelona

Ter Stegen has made it clear that if the club wants him to leave, they must pay out his full contract.

Barcelona has signed Joan Garcia and is considering renewing Szczesny’s contract to replace Ter Stegen and reduce the wage bill.

The German goalkeeper has already turned down offers from Chelsea, Monaco, and Galatasaray, as he intends to stay and fight for the starting spot.

He’s frustrated with the club’s management due to the lack of transparency regarding his potential exit at the end of last season.

For now, he has refused to enter negotiations with the club but has scheduled a meeting with Hansi Flick in July to discuss his future role.

Tensions are expected to rise further in August, which could disrupt Barça’s plans, as the club hoped Ter Stegen would prioritize getting game time ahead of the World Cup
