David Ornstein Reveals Arsenal’s Plans to Bolster Attack with Three Signings
Arsenal Eyes Eze in Ambitious Triple Forward Deal
Arsenal are targeting a trio of attacking signings this summer, with Eberechi Eze identified as a major priority, according to David Ornstein. The Crystal Palace playmaker is being closely assessed by Mikel Arteta as part of a broader strategy to strengthen Arsenal’s offensive options with more flair and flexibility.
Eze Central to Arsenal’s Summer Ambitions
Ornstein stated:
“Keep an eye on Arsenal’s interest in Eberechi Eze. The 27-year-old is one of several forward options being looked at by Arteta’s team.”
Eze’s technical ability, tactical versatility, and skill in unlocking stubborn defenses make him an attractive option for Arsenal—who, despite boasting the Premier League’s strongest defense, managed only 69 goals, significantly fewer than title-winners Liverpool.
No Formal Negotiations Yet, But Serious Interest
Though Arsenal haven’t opened talks with Palace, their interest is firm. Eze’s £68m release clause is seen as negotiable, with Arsenal possibly offering £45m plus performance-related bonuses to reach an agreement.
Eze Part of a Wider Recruitment Push
Ornstein emphasized that Eze is not just a secondary target:
“This is separate from their chase for a striker and a left-sided attacker.”
Arsenal’s other forward targets include:
- Left wing: Rodrygo, Anthony Gordon, and Nico Williams (expected to join Barcelona)
- Striker: Benjamin Šeško and Viktor Gyökeres
Adding three attackers would inject variety into Arsenal’s frontline and reduce the creative burden on Saka and Ødegaard.
Eze Poised for Next Career Move
After scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists last season under manager Oliver Glasner, Eze has shown he’s ready for a bigger challenge. With no current competition for his signature and Spurs reportedly not in the race, Arsenal are in a strong position. His homegrown status and top-flight experience add further appeal.
