.Beyond first-team reinforcements, United are also investing heavily in future talent:Diego Leon, a promising 18-year-old full-back from Cerro Porteño, has completed a medical and will join officially next month on a five-year deal.

The initial fee is £3.2 million, potentially rising to £7 million with add-ons.

Enzo Kana-Biyik, an 18-year-old attacker from Le Havre, will arrive on a free transfer once his contract expires

.Harley Emsden-James, a young defender from Southampton and former England U15 international, will also sign after his contract ends.

United will pay £1 million in compensation and agree to a 20% sell-on clause. He’ll join the U18 squad with a view to progressing quickly toward the first team.
