Marcus Rashford Sets Clear Condition for Barcelona Move

Marcus Rashford remains a key target for FC Barcelona following Nico Williams’ contract renewal with Athletic Club. With Luís Díaz also in the mix, Rashford is now seen as a top candidate to boost Barça’s attack.

Barcelona favor Rashford’s potential transfer due to his lower price—under €50 million—compared to Díaz. The club initially hoped for a loan with a purchase option, but Manchester United insists on a permanent transfer, as Rashford is no longer part of their plans.

Since Rubén Amorim’s arrival at United, Rashford has been sidelined. His iconic number 10 shirt has been handed to new signing Matheus Cunha, signaling a clear end to his time at Old Trafford.

Rashford is keen on a move to Barça and is even willing to take a pay cut. However, he has one non-negotiable condition: he wants a guaranteed important role in the squad with regular playing time.

The England forward is determined to revive his form and earn a place in the national team for the 2026 World Cup. Without the promise of a key role under coach Hansi Flick, Rashford is ready to walk away from the deal.
