Real Madrid have reportedly opened talks with FC Porto over a potential move for 18-year-old rising star Rodrigo Mora. The Portuguese forward has captured the attention of scouts across Europe following a standout 2024/25 campaign, during which he scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists.

Mora’s explosive speed and impressive dribbling have already drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo in his early days, increasing the buzz around his future. Widely seen as one of Portugal’s brightest young prospects, his performances have placed him firmly on the radar of Europe’s elite.

The Madrid hierarchy views Mora as a long-term project. The club’s intention is to sign him soon and then send him out on loan, allowing him to gain consistent playing time and mature further. This aligns with Real Madrid’s ongoing strategy of locking down top young talent early, just as they’ve done with Endrick and Arda Güler. Mora is currently under contract with Porto until 2027 and is estimated to be worth around €10 million.

However, Los Blancos aren’t alone in the race. Other major European clubs have also shown strong interest in the teenager, suggesting that Madrid may need to move fast before the bidding intensifies.

Porto are fully aware of the growing interest in their young forward and are expected to drive a hard bargain. With a strong history of developing and selling top-tier talent, the Portuguese club knows exactly how valuable a player like Mora can be in the current transfer market. This could drive his price well beyond the initial €10 million mark.

If Real Madrid do manage to secure Mora’s signature, it would represent yet another major step in their youth-first recruitment policy — ensuring the club remains competitive for years to come.
