Barcelona Shocked as Promising Young Star Set to Leave — Emotional Blow for Pedri and Gavi

In an unexpected twist, one of Barcelona’s most promising young talents—closely associated with the generation of Pedri and Gavi—is on the verge of leaving the club permanently. Despite showing strong potential early in the season, the club’s coaching staff has finalized the decision, leaving little room for reversal—even after players tried to intervene behind the scenes.

According to El Nacional, the player in question is Pablo Torre, 21, who joined the club in 2022 with high expectations and was once seen as a future star at Camp Nou. Despite impressing during preseason under new manager Hansi Flick, the return of injured players and the already crowded midfield limited his chances, ultimately prompting the club to part ways.

Barcelona has now reached a permanent transfer agreement with Real Mallorca, but crucially, the deal includes a buy-back clause and ensures the Catalan club keeps 50% of any future sale. Financially, the move will bring in around €7 million, offering both economic benefit and the possibility of a future reunion.

An official announcement is expected soon. The decision has reportedly saddened several of Torre’s closest teammates, including Pedri, Gavi, Fermín López, and Alejandro Balde, who have built a strong bond with him.
