Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has reportedly given the go-ahead for the club to reignite their interest in Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford.
As per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Rashford has now emerged as Barcelona’s top target, replacing Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, who was initially their main focus.
While Diaz had been the priority, Liverpool’s refusal to engage in talks has forced Barcelona to change course. The Catalan giants are now concentrating their efforts on securing Rashford.
Plettenberg posted on X:
“As reported on July 6, Marcus Rashford is now the leading target for FC Barcelona. The club is determined to try again and is fully invested in the move. A few weeks ago, Luis Diaz was the main objective, but Liverpool turned down the approach. Now, Rashford is clearly the primary focus. Talks are active, and Hansi Flick approved the move days ago. The 27-year-old winger is expected to depart Manchester United.”

**What About Luis Diaz?**
Liverpool remains determined to keep hold of Luis Diaz despite growing interest. Bayern Munich is also reportedly monitoring the Colombian winger, according to Christian Falk (CF Bayern Insider).
Given Liverpool’s refusal to sell, Barcelona has turned to Rashford, though some may view this as a step down in terms of quality.
