Arsenal have completed a major transfer coup by signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze for £80 million, hijacking Chelsea and Liverpool’s attempts to land the England international. Eze has signed a seven-year contract, keeping him at the Emirates until 2032.
Eze, who was a top priority for both Chelsea and Liverpool, gave the greenlight to Arsenal after being impressed by Mikel Arteta’s project and the club’s Champions League success. Sporting director Andrea Berta acted swiftly to secure the deal, fending off late interest from rivals.
The agreement includes a £60 million upfront fee with £20 million in add-ons. Eze joins Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Noni Madueke as Arsenal’s latest summer recruits. With Trossard moving to Fenerbahce and Viktor Gyokeres also being pursued, Eze’s arrival adds creativity and depth to Arsenal’s attacking options alongside Ødegaard, Saka, and Martinelli
