In an emotional revelation, Noni Madueke has confessed he is already regretting his move from Chelsea to Arsenal due to negative reactions from some Arsenal fans. Speaking during a press conference, the winger said:
“I betrayed Chelsea to join Arsenal just because of the love I have for this club. But it seems the fans don’t want me here, and I don’t know why. They’re making me regret my move already.”
Madueke explained that on his way to training, a few fans confronted him, telling him he wasn’t needed and should have stayed at Chelsea. The 22-year-old admitted the hostility hurt him deeply as he made the move with genuine passion for Arsenal.
Manager Mikel Arteta has come out in support of Madueke, urging fans to back the player and reminding them that once a player joins the club, he becomes “one of us.” Several Arsenal players have reportedly reached out privately to encourage him.
Madueke is expected to feature in pre-season games where he will have the chance to win over the fans with his performances.
