Arsenal have completed the first part of this plan by signing RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko for £70 million on a seven-year deal. The 22-year-old Slovenian striker is seen as the long-term solution to Arsenal’s No.9 problem.
Next, Arsenal are pushing to sign Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, with Ornstein reporting a £68m release clause, though Arsenal hope to negotiate a lower upfront fee. Eze, capable of playing across the attack or as a No.10, fits Arteta’s system perfectly.
For the left wing, Arsenal are monitoring Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon, though Nico Williams is no longer a target with his move to Barcelona close.
With midfield reinforcements like Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard already lined up, Arsenal are building a squad capable of challenging for the title, with further sales likely to fund the remaining signings.
