According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Reds are keeping a close watch on Rodrygo’s situation at Madrid, where new manager Xabi Alonso has been limiting his game time. Despite playing 54 games and tallying 14 goals and 11 assists last season, the Brazilian started just one match in six during the Club World Cup — a sign that his importance at the club may be waning.
Rodrygo, who primarily plays on the right but can feature across the front three, could be made available for transfer if Real Madrid chooses to cash in, with multiple top clubs already interested.
Liverpool’s interest reportedly hinges on a potential departure in their attacking ranks, with Luis Díaz the most likely to leave. Although he was a regular under Arne Slot last season, Díaz has been linked with Barcelona and Saudi Arabian clubs.
