Arsenal Launch £63m Bid for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk After Gyokeres Setback

Arsenal have made a sensational £63 million offer for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk following complications in their pursuit of striker Victor Gyokeres. Sporting director Andrea Berta is pushing hard to secure the Ukrainian star, reigniting Arsenal’s interest after missing out on him to Chelsea last year.

With Sporting CP unwilling to negotiate Gyokeres’ release clause, Arsenal have pivoted to Mudryk, who shares a close bond with recent signing Noni Madueke. Contrary to fan speculation, the target is not Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku, but Mudryk — a player Arsenal previously came close to signing.

Sources say Chelsea may be open to the sale due to financial pressures, and Mikel Arteta has personally approved the move. Talks over personal terms are progressing quickly, and if finalized, Mudryk could be unveiled as an Arsenal player before the weekend.

This potential transfer would bolster Arsenal’s wing options, offer Mudryk a fresh start, and mark a symbolic twist after Chelsea hijacked his initial Arsenal move. It also signals Arsenal’s continued ambition in the transfer market as they reshape the squad ahead of the new season.
