Arsenal have sealed the signing of Dutch playmaker Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig for £60m after beating competition from Chelsea and Liverpool. Simons, regarded as Europe’s most skillful attacking prospect, joins Mikel Arteta’s squad immediately and will begin training today.
Simons, 22, brings versatility and creativity, capable of operating across attacking roles. Arsenal prioritized him to add flair and ease the creative burden on Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard.
The deal, rising to £70m with add-ons, includes a PSG sell-on clause. Arsenal remain active in the market, with Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze still on their radar depending on departures.
