ARSENAL PLAYER RATINGS AFTER 1-0 DEFEAT TO TOTTENHAM IN HONG KONG

Arsenal were narrowly beaten 1-0 by rivals Tottenham in a pre-season fixture at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. Mikel Arteta’s side showed glimpses of quality but couldn’t find a breakthrough, as Spurs held firm to claim victory. Here’s how the players fared on the night:

Aaron Ramsdale put in a steady performance in goal, making a few comfortable saves but couldn’t do much about the goal. Defenders Gabriel and Saliba were relatively solid at the back, though the team as a whole lacked fluidity in possession. Ben White and Kiwior struggled to provide support out wide, while the midfield trio of Rice, Ødegaard, and Havertz failed to gain full control of the game.

Bukayo Saka was one of the few bright spots, consistently threatening on the right wing but unable to convert his chances. Martinelli had moments of pace but was largely ineffective, and Nketiah failed to make an impact up front.

Substitutes like Smith Rowe and Timber injected some energy after coming on, but none were able to turn the match around. Overall, Arsenal’s performance lacked sharpness and cutting edge as they continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
