RB Leipzig are in advanced talks with Harvey Elliott over potential personal terms as they gear up to submit an official transfer offer to Liverpool.
German giants RB Leipzig have initiated serious discussions with Harvey Elliott as they attempt to lure the highly-rated Liverpool midfielder to the Bundesliga. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club is currently focused on reaching a mutual agreement with Elliott regarding salary, contract length, and potential bonuses before formalising their interest through a direct bid to Liverpool.

This preemptive approach reflects Leipzig’s confidence and intent to make Elliott a key part of their project, possibly as a replacement for outgoing stars or to bolster their attacking midfield options ahead of a demanding season in both domestic and European competitions.

Elliott, 22, has impressed with his technical ability, versatility, and maturity beyond his years. Despite often being used as a rotational option under Jürgen Klopp and now Arne Slot, his potential has not gone unnoticed across Europe. Leipzig, renowned for developing young talent and giving them prominent first-team roles, are positioning themselves as an attractive destination for the England U21 international.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are not actively looking to sell Elliott, who still has a long-term contract with the club. However, a substantial bid—especially one that aligns with the player’s ambitions and guarantees regular starting opportunities—could tempt the Reds into considering their options.

If the ongoing talks between Elliott’s camp and Leipzig progress positively, the next step will be for the Bundesliga club to submit an official transfer proposal to Liverpool, likely before the end of the current transfer window.

This development could signal a significant shift in Liverpool’s midfield dynamics, while also showing Leipzig’s intent to reinforce their squad with proven Premier League talent.
