Arsenal’s newest signing Eberechi Eze has set the
fanbase alight with a heartfelt revelation following his official unveiling at the Emirates today.
The England international has penned a five-year deal with the Gunners, but according to him, his decision wasn’t just about Mikel Arteta’s ambitious project it was deeply personal.
Speaking in his first interview as an Arsenal player, Eze admitted that one particular teammate played a huge role in convincing him to make the switch.
“I didn’t just join Arsenal because of the project,” Eze said with a smile. “I joined because of this one Arsenal player.
He’s always been the person I’ve dreamed of playing alongside in my career and now it’s actually happening.”
While he didn’t leave fans guessing for long, the player he named is already a household name in North London and someone Eze believes will perfectly complement his style of play.
“The chemistry we can build on the pitch excites me. I’ve watched him for years, admired his quality, and I just know we’re going to create something special together,” he added.
Eze’s arrival has already sent waves of excitement through the Arsenal community, but his comments have now added an extra layer of anticipation especially with the Gunners set to face Manchester United this Sunday.
Supporters are now counting down the hours until they see this brand-new duo link up for the very first time in red and white.
If the partnership clicks as Eze predicts, Arsenal could be on the verge of unleashing one of the most dangerous attacking combinations in the league.
