In his trademark announcement, Romano posted: “Kostas Tsimikas to AS Roma, here we go!” He added that a full agreement has been reached with Liverpool, with the player already cleared to travel and undergo medical tests.
As part of the arrangement, Roma will cover Tsimikas’ wages in full until June. The Greek defender was keen on making the switch, which helped push the move forward.
The agreement between the two clubs is for a straightforward loan. Roma will not have an option or obligation to purchase the 29-year-old once the season ends.
