While Liverpool’s summer signings have captured much of the attention, it is 16-year-old winger Rio Ngumoha who has truly stolen the spotlight in preseason. The former Chelsea academy player has impressed supporters with his fearless dribbling and eye-catching solo goals, earning the nickname “Mr. 1 v 1” from new teammate Jeremie Frimpong.
Ngumoha has already made history since joining Liverpool, becoming the club’s youngest-ever starter when he featured in last season’s FA Cup clash against Accrington Stanley. He later impressed in Premier League 2, and his recent preseason displays have only fueled demands for him to receive more first-team opportunities.
