Alexander Isak has officially completed his long-awaited transfer to Liverpool, and the Swedish striker couldn’t hide his excitement as he stepped into life at Anfield. After putting pen to paper at the AXA Training Centre, the 25-year-old spoke passionately about his ambitions, his pride in joining the club, and the hunger that drives him forward.
“This feels incredible,” Isak admitted with a smile. “It has been a long road to reach this point, but now that it’s done, I’m absolutely delighted. To be part of a club like Liverpool, with everything it represents – the history, the fans, the winning mentality – it’s something I’m really proud of.”
Isak, who arrives with a reputation as one of Europe’s most clinical forwards, emphasised that he is eager to hit the ground running:
“I’m just happy the deal is over. Now I can focus on what really matters – getting to work with my teammates, playing in front of the supporters, and giving everything I have for this badge.”
The former Newcastle striker also reflected on his own development, stressing that while he has already proven himself at the highest level, he believes there is still more to come:
“I know I have a lot to give and a lot to improve on. My job is to score goals, but I want to contribute in every way possible to the team. I want to push myself to new levels here.”
When asked about his objectives at Liverpool, Isak didn’t mince words:
“My ambition is simple – I want to win everything. That’s why I’m here, and that’s the mindset I’m bringing into every game.”
