Liverpool have yet to make a final decision on whether to pursue Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in January 2026. According to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, the Reds will continue to monitor his situation closely.
The Guehi transfer saga stretched right up until the final hours of the summer window. Reports suggested the England international was on the verge of securing a move to Anfield. Romano confirmed that a deal between Liverpool and Palace was agreed, and Guehi even underwent a medical at the club. However, the transfer collapsed when Palace failed to find a suitable replacement.
Guehi’s contract with Palace expires next summer, which had put pressure on the club to sell him during the recent window rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.
