Mo Salah Calls Out Liverpool Fan Account Over ‘Disrespectful’ Isak Post

Mohamed Salah has hit out at a Liverpool fan account on social media, branding one of their posts “disrespectful.”

The Reds have had one of the most dramatic transfer windows in their history, smashing records to rebuild Arne Slot’s squad despite winning the Premier League last season. Florian Wirtz arrived from Bayer Leverkusen in a British-record deal, only for that record to be broken again with the signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle.

They weren’t the only new faces — Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike also joined the squad, while the club waved goodbye to several big names. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez were among the high-profile exits, alongside Jarell Quansah, Tyler Morton, Ben Doak, Harvey Elliott and Nat Phillips.

Amid the debate, popular account Anfield Edition shared a post featuring Díaz, Núñez, Wirtz and Isak with the caption: “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.” Salah wasn’t impressed, replying: “How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”

Club legend Jamie Carragher later weighed in with a simple heart emoji in response to Salah’s comment.

Díaz sealed a €70m switch to Bayern Munich, while Núñez moved to Saudi side Al Hilal in a €53m deal. Despite the departures, Liverpool have started the new season flawlessly, winning their first three matches against Bournemouth, Newcastle and Arsenal
