Martin Odegaard has revealed that discussions about a World Cup spot have taken place between him and Arsenal teammate Riccardo Calafiori. The two are set to face each other as rivals in the battle for a place at next summer’s tournament in the USA.

Odegaard confirmed that the topic of qualifying for the World Cup has come up in Arsenal’s dressing room. Speaking to TV2, he said: “Yes … We’ve talked about it, we had to talk a little bit about the last game.” This shows the Norwegian captain is not only focused on club duties but also on the international stage and the upcoming tournament.
