Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has opened up about his current situation after being sidelined by manager Enzo Maresca.
The Frenchman admitted that he had several offers on the table but was only interested in returning to Monaco, who made a late attempt to bring him back on loan.
“Between the approaches from Bournemouth and West Ham, Monaco came in and it struck me emotionally,” Disasi explained. “I spent three incredible years there. When they called, all the memories came back. Monaco feels like home.”
Disasi added that he was hopeful Chelsea would make it possible for him to secure the move. “I wanted the club to find a solution for a loan. I pushed until the very last minute to go to Monaco,” he revealed.
However, Chelsea have already used up all their international loan slots. With the transfer window still open in some countries, Disasi’s only option for an exit now would be a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.
