Eden Hazard will once again wear Chelsea colours as he prepares to feature in the upcoming Chelsea Legends vs Liverpool Legends match at Stamford Bridge on October 11th.
This will be the Belgian icon’s first appearance in blue since leaving the club for Real Madrid in 2019. Although he has returned as a visitor—most memorably during Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final win over Madrid in 2021—this occasion will mark his long-awaited playing comeback at the Bridge.
Hazard, often described as the heart of Chelsea’s “Garden of Eden” era, enjoyed many unforgettable moments against Liverpool. Among them, his dazzling Carabao Cup goal at Anfield, where he dribbled past five defenders before firing into the far corner, remains one of the greatest strikes of his career in England.
He will be joined by a host of Chelsea greats, including John Terry, Roberto Di Matteo, Ramires, Joe Cole, Katie Chapman, Carlo Cudicini, William Gallas, and Gemma Davison. Together, they will aim to avenge the Blues’ 2–0 defeat to the Liverpool Legends earlier this year at Anfield.
The event will raise funds for both the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust, combining a nostalgic night of football with support for important causes.
Hazard’s return promises to be an emotional occasion for fans, with Stamford Bridge once again celebrating one of the club’s all-time greats.
