Enzo Maresca Faces Major Chelsea Selection Dilemma Ahead of Brentford Clash

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca could be without as many as 10 first-team players for tonight’s Premier League meeting with Brentford. Benoît Badiashile and Roméo Lavia have been ruled out despite returning to training this week, while Cole Palmer remains a doubt after only completing part of Thursday’s session following his recent groin problem.

Adding to the uncertainty, South American quartet João Pedro, Andrey Santos, Estevão Willian and Moisés Caicedo only arrived back in the UK late on Thursday after international duty, leaving Maresca unsure whether they are fit enough to feature. With so many question marks hanging over key players, the Chelsea head coach faces a major dilemma in naming his matchday squad at the Gtech Community Stadium.
