Chelsea are reportedly preparing to take legal action against both Mykhailo Mudryk and the Ukrainian Association of Football, according to journalist Igor Burbas.
Mudryk, 24, was charged by the Football Association after failing a doping test while on international duty with Ukraine last year. Since then, he has not played for Chelsea, with his last appearance coming in late November 2024, and updates on his situation have been scarce.
The Ukraine international’s last game for Chelsea saw him score against Heidenheim in the Conference League, and he was last included in a matchday squad against Aston Villa at the start of December.
Mudryk has consistently maintained his innocence and is believed to have passed a lie detector test. If found guilty, he could face a four-year ban. However, since the FA’s charge, information on the case has been minimal.
