Darwin Núñez continued his fine form by scoring in Al-Hilal’s AFC Champions League opener against Al-Duhail. After his side went behind in the first half, the Uruguayan equalised in the 57th minute, sparking a 2–1 comeback victory sealed by Theo Hernández’s volley.
The striker has now scored two goals in as many competitive matches for his new club and has five in total when including pre-season. Following a mixed spell at Liverpool, Núñez appears to be thriving in Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hilal’s attacking system is already getting the best out of him.
