Maresca Provides Chelsea Injury Update Ahead of Brighton Clash

Tosin Adarabioyo Ruled Out Until International Break

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that defender Tosin Adarabioyo will miss the upcoming Premier League fixture against Brighton. The 26-year-old is sidelined with a minor calf issue and is not expected to return before the international break.

“We have Tosin injured and he will probably be out until the international break. It’s a small problem in his calf,” Maresca explained.

Wesley Fofana Recovering from Concussion

Maresca also revealed that Wesley Fofana is currently recovering after suffering a concussion during Chelsea’s recent clash with Lincoln City. The French defender will undergo further assessments before being cleared to return.

“Wes Fofana had a concussion against Lincoln,” the coach confirmed.

Positive News on Romeo Lavia and Benoît Badiashile

On a more encouraging note, Maresca stated that both Romeo Lavia and Benoît Badiashile are showing signs of improvement in their recovery. While their availability for the Brighton game is not guaranteed, there is optimism within the squad.

“Romeo and Benoît are better. We will see if they can join us tomorrow,” he added.
