Dominik Szoboszlai, who came close to scoring from Wirtz’s early assist attempt, echoed his captain’s sentiments during a post-match interview with Jamie Carragher on CBS Sports Golazo.
“I have to mention Flo because he just kept running, winning the ball, and creating chances,” Szoboszlai said. “He almost gave me an assist — he was brilliant tonight.”
Carragher agreed, calling it Wirtz’s finest performance since joining Liverpool.
