Liverpool forward Hugo Ekitike has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s renewed energy and determination as they prepare to face Manchester, following two much-needed victories at Anfield.
The Reds recently defeated Aston Villa 2–0 in the Premier League and followed up with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League. These results have helped restore confidence after a difficult run that saw the team lose six of their previous seven matches across all competitions.
Speaking to the media ahead of the upcoming fixture, Ekitike reflected on the team’s current form and attitude:
“It’s not perfect now, but at least when we go into the game, I can feel that the boys give 100 – even more than 100 – percent of themselves. You can see it in the energy, in the pressure we put on our opponents. We are a different team to face now. We just have to keep going this way.”
