Barcelona have expressed strong interest in signing Alejandro Grimaldo, who has quickly become one of Europe’s most sought-after full-backs following his outstanding performances for Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern Munich are also keen on the Spanish defender, but Leverkusen are reluctant to sell him to a direct Bundesliga rival. This gives Barça a significant advantage, especially as Grimaldo himself is said to favour a return to Spain.
According to reports, if the player formally requests to leave for a Spanish club, Leverkusen will not stand in his way or complicate negotiations — a stance that further boosts Barcelona’s chances.
