Up to five players from Leeds United and Liverpool may be unavailable for their Premier League meeting at Elland Road on Saturday.
Both managers are under pressure heading into the match. Leeds boss Daniel Farke has struggled after six losses in seven league games, dropping the team into the relegation zone. Although a surprise 3–1 win over Chelsea eased the tension slightly, his job is still not secure.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot is also facing criticism, with only four wins in the last 14 matches. A 1–1 draw against Sunderland in midweek added to the frustration.
Fortunately, both teams have only a few injury concerns:
**Daniel James (Leeds)**
Out for at least eight weeks with a hamstring tendon injury suffered against Manchester City. He may need surgery, which could keep him out even longer.
**Sean Longstaff (Leeds)**
One of Leeds’ best performers since joining from Newcastle, but a calf injury will sideline him for four to six weeks. He will miss the Liverpool match and several others.
**Giovanni Leoni (Liverpool)**
The young defender tore his ACL on his debut in September and will miss the entire 2025/26 season.
**Jeremie Frimpong (Liverpool)**
Recovering from a hamstring injury picked up in October. He is back to light outdoor training but not expected to return until mid-December.
**Conor Bradley (Liverpool)**
Has returned to partial training after a muscle injury. Liverpool are hopeful he might make the squad for the Leeds game but will not rush him back
