Liverpool Target Star Signings for January

Liverpool spent £414.5m last summer but still struggled, leaving them out of the title race by December. With the winter transfer window approaching, they need reinforcements to save their season.

Following the success of previous signings from Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool are expected to spend big again. Here are two key targets for January:

1. Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)
Semenyo is a standout performer this season with 6 goals and 3 assists in 13 Premier League games. His £65m release clause has caught the attention of top clubs, including Liverpool. Unlike past signings, he would join as a practical solution to strengthen the team rather than a high-profile gamble. Semenyo can play across the frontline and could take some pressure off Mohamed Salah.

Transfer fee: £65m

2. Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)
Liverpool missed out on Guehi in the summer after delaying negotiations, which backfired. Guehi has remained consistent for both Palace and England, while Liverpool’s defense, particularly Ibrahima Konate, has struggled. Guehi could solve defensive issues immediately. With only six months left on his contract, Liverpool might secure him for a lower fee, but Real Madrid could also be a contender
