Luis Diaz’s Liverpool Future in Doubt Amid €85m Transfer Interest

Liverpool are working to secure a new contract for Luis Diaz as growing interest from top European and Saudi Arabian clubs threatens his future at Anfield, CaughtOffside reports.

The Colombian winger is attracting serious attention, particularly from Saudi Pro League sides Al Nassr and Al Hilal, with both preparing offers close to €85 million. Meanwhile, Spanish powerhouses Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on the situation but haven’t made any concrete moves yet.

Sources suggest new Liverpool manager Arne Slot is keen to keep Diaz, especially with the club already facing the potential departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid. Losing another key player could be a major setback.

Although Diaz has yet to make a final decision, internal discussions between him and Slot are said to have been positive. The Reds are eager to hold onto the 28-year-old, who had a strong season with 17 goals and five assists, playing a key role in Liverpool’s Premier League triumph.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has previously confirmed uncertainty around Diaz’s future, also noting Barcelona’s financial limitations in pursuing a deal.

With Diaz approaching 30 and the possibility of new attacking signings like Florian Wirtz, Liverpool could consider cashing in while his value remains high. However, nothing is finalized, and the coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether Diaz stays at Anfield or moves on.
