Xabi Alonso Identifies Top Bundesliga Target and Eagerly Awaits His Signing
Real Madrid is continuing its active push in the summer transfer window as the club prepares for the upcoming Club World Cup. According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, coach Xabi Alonso, working closely with the club’s management, has made it a top priority to sign a midfielder who can control the tempo of the game and create chances from deep positions.
One of the standout candidates for this role is Stuttgart’s German midfielder Angelo Stiller. His potential move has gained momentum, especially with backing from club legend Toni Kroos.
Marca emphasized that talks with Stiller are entirely separate from the negotiations to bring Nico Paz back from Italian side Como.
The report also noted that Real Madrid’s strategy this summer focuses on recruiting high-quality players who may not be global superstars but can elevate the team’s overall performance and help establish a strong tactical identity.
Interestingly, during Stuttgart’s celebrations after winning the German Cup, some of Stiller’s teammates jokingly hinted at his possible transfer to Real Madrid.
