Steven Gerrard Joins TNT Sports for Champions League Final Coverage Amid Rangers Speculation

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will return to television this weekend as a pundit for TNT Sports’ broadcast of the UEFA Champions League final. The former manager of Rangers and Aston Villa has been without a full-time coaching role since parting ways with Saudi club Al-Ettifaq earlier this year.

Gerrard has recently made headlines amid rumors linking him to a potential return to Rangers. He was also back in Liverpool for the Premier League finale, where Arne Slot’s squad was crowned champions, and appeared prominently in Sky Sports’ coverage of the match against Crystal Palace.

Now, he’s set to appear on TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League final in Munich, Germany, featuring Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. He’ll join fellow former professional Rio Ferdinand, who recently announced he will be leaving TNT Sports at the end of the season.

Gerrard, a familiar face on football broadcasts since retiring as a player, was a regular on BT Sport’s European coverage but has made only occasional appearances while transitioning between managerial jobs.

As part of TNT’s Champions League programming, Gerrard will also be featured in a documentary revisiting Liverpool’s dramatic 2005 comeback against AC Milan in Istanbul—a match where he played a central role.

Speculation continues to grow regarding Gerrard’s potential return to management with Rangers. Reports suggest the club is considering a reunion with the coach who led them to a Scottish Premiership title. TalkSPORT’s Jim White claimed that discussions are advancing and hinted that Gerrard could be joined by fellow former Liverpool players Steven Davis and Jordan Henderson in his backroom staff.
