**Pedri Stuns Barcelona Fans by Revealing Club’s First Summer Signing**

As Barcelona prepares to reclaim its dominance in European football, the club has started making strategic moves in the summer transfer market. With ambitions to once again compete at the highest level, especially in the Champions League, Barça is focused on strengthening key positions — starting with the goalkeeping department.

In a surprising revelation, midfield star **Pedri** confirmed the club’s first signing of the summer: **Juan García**, a standout goalkeeper from Espanyol.

Speaking to *Football España*, Pedri said:

> “Juan García is joining the best club in the world, and I wish him all the best in this new stage.”

However, he remained cautious in his comments, adding:

> “He has a lot of potential, but since he’s not officially part of the squad yet, I can’t say much. But if he does join, I’ll tell him there’s no better place than Barcelona.”

The 24-year-old García had an impressive season in La Liga, making **67 appearances** for Espanyol since his promotion to the first team in 2021. During that time, he kept **21 clean sheets** and conceded **72 goals** — performances that clearly caught Barça’s attention.

With veteran keepers **Marc-André ter Stegen** and **Wacchini** both advancing in age, García is seen as a key part of Barcelona’s next-generation squad under its long-term project.

His current contract with Espanyol runs until **June 2028**, but signs suggest his move to Camp Nou is imminent.
