Liverpool, on the brink of securing the Premier League title, are reportedly preparing a £95 million double signing from Bournemouth as new manager Arne Slot begins to rebuild the squad ahead of a challenging summer.
Slot is reportedly looking to strengthen several positions, including left-back, centre-back, right-back, striker, and attacking midfielder. Despite a quiet first transfer window—with only Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving (Chiesa featuring rarely and Mamardashvili staying on loan at Valencia)—Slot has guided Liverpool to the top of the league.
This summer, Liverpool are expected to be much more active in the transfer market. Key targets include Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and centre-back Dean Huijsen, who has a £50 million release clause that could reportedly be paid in installments.
The Daily Mail reports Liverpool are serious about a £95 million combined deal for both players, despite competition from Chelsea and Arsenal. Kerkez is valued at about £45 million, with Liverpool keen to strengthen their left side of defense as Andy Robertson, now 31, shows signs of slowing down.
Dean Huijsen isn’t the only defensive prospect on Liverpool’s radar—Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is also being considered, though a move across Merseyside may be complicated.
Liverpool are also targeting a striker and an attacking midfielder, especially with Darwin Nunez’s future still uncertain. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have shown interest in Liverpool players such as Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak. Kelleher is expected to depart once Mamardashvili officially joins Liverpool’s squad
